This page is dedicated to the recently defunct band Thrush Hermit(it's a cryin shame). Thrush was formed in Halifax in 1992 by Joel Plaskett(vocals/guitar), Rob Benvie(guitar/keyboard/vocals), Ian McGettican(bass/vocals), and Cliff Gibb(drums). Their heavy guitar sound and wailing vocals compliment each other almost perfectly in their unique breed of alt. rock music. Their songs show obvious influence by 70's album rock; their melodies and wistful musings, not their aggression and raw energy. Thrush Hermit is that rare band equally capable of sculpting beautiful harmonies, crunchy guitars and wailing feedback.
